Coronavirus and Freska home cleaning

Freska's cleaning process
We avoid unnecessary physical contact
- We do not shake hands and seek to keep at least two meters of distance from others at work, during commutes and outside of work.
- Public transport: we keep distance & avoid rush hours, we use gloves and face masks and change them when arriving at customers' place, and we prioritize walking or cycling when possible (at work and outside of it)
We maximize hand hygiene
- Handwashing is the first and last thing we do when entering and leaving a customer´s home.
- We wash our hands thoroughly with soap, for at least 30 seconds, and dry with paper.
- If in doubt, we look at WHO´s guidelines for hand washing.
We use gloves & face masks throughout the cleaning
- We wear protective gloves & face masks throughout the whole cleaning.
- We are extra careful not to touch the outside surface of the gloves when discarding them after use.
Professional supplies & disinfection
- Cleaning liquids: We always and only use cleaning supplies provided by Freska as these have a pH of 8-10 (official recommendation)
- Disinfection: We finish each cleaning by disinfecting all door knobs, water taps, light switches, other handles and toilet including the flusher and also our equipment.
Managing dirty equipment
- We clean or disinfect all our equipment thoroughly after and between all cleanings.
- If not wearing shoes, we wear clean socks for each customer (wash at 90°C).
Used & clean equipment
- Used equipment: we put used cloths, sponges, mops, (socks) in a separate plastic bag, and close the bag with a knot, before placing into our backpacks or bags. We wash the equipment at 90°C as always, before using it again.
- Clean equipment: We put our clean equipment in a clean plastic bag, before they go into our backpacks.
In summary, we at Freska:
- Travel safely
- Do not shake hands (we do smile and namaste! instead)
- Wash hands and put on gloves
- Wear face masks during cleanings
- Clean as normal – keep distance if customers are home
- Disinfect touch areas in the home
- Clean our own equipment and put dirty stuff in plastic bag – tie a knot
- Wash hands again
- Clean used supplies on 90C and put in clean plastic bag
Our instructions to Freska’s cleaners
- We instruct our cleaners to take care of hygiene at work and outside of it. This is our general policy, but we are now taking extra measures to enforce it.
- Freska cleaners do not go to work, but contact occupational health, if they feel any symptoms of flu or feel otherwise unwell or if there is any risk of them having been in contact with people potentially infected by the corona virus (e.g. contact with people who have travelled in areas with the epidemic outbreak).
Our instructions to Freska’s customers
- If you or your family members have symptoms of flu, or any reason to doubt having been in contact with a person infected by the corona virus, please reschedule your next home cleaning with Freska’s mobile app or by contacting our customer service.
- We ask you for your understanding in situations where we possibly have to send a substitute cleaner to perform your home cleaning, should your regular be unavailable due to any of the above mentioned reasons.
